It adopts SCR low-temperature coke oven flue gas denitrification, waste heat recovery and utilization, and circulating fluidized bed semi-dry desulfurization technology, and is integrated according to the layout of denitrification+waste heat recovery+semi-dry desulfurization process route, becoming the first integrated environmental protection device for comprehensive treatment of coke oven flue gas in China.

It is equipped with two 170t/h dry quenching units for 6#-9 # coke ovens, generating 300 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing particulate matter emissions by 50 tons annually, and saving 105,000 tons of standard coal annually.

It adopts chemical absorption capture process and cryogenic separation purification process, which can capture 7,500 tons of carbon dioxide annually. The recovered carbon dioxide is deeply purified and used to produce biodegradable plastics. As the first case in the coking industry, considering the low concentration of carbon dioxide in coke oven flue gas (4.5%-6%), the difficulty and high cost of capture and utilization, and the lack of large-scale application, this project has become a pioneering exploration in the industry's carbon reduction work. It has also been approved as a pilot project for carbon dioxide capture, utilization, and storage in Hebei Province and a demonstration project for industrial green development in Hebei Province. The aim is to actively research and develop new carbon reduction technologies, and expand the path for carbon neutrality in the industry.

It adopts a three stream flue gas desulfurization process of pushing coke, loading coal, and dry quenching dust collector to remove particulate matter and merge it into a centralized desulfurization device, achieving a sulfur dioxide emission concentration of less than 10 milligrams/cubic meter, becoming the first ground dust removal station desulfurization device in the coking industry in China.

It not only realizes the recovery and utilization of waste heat from the coke oven riser, but also successfully eliminates the emissions of the crude benzene process tube furnace from the historical stage, saving 20 million cubic meters of gas resources annually and reducing pollutant emissions by 17.68 tons annually.

It was applied for construction in October 2018 and passed the acceptance inspection by the Science and Technology Department of Hebei Province on December 17, 2020. It is one of the first provincial-level key laboratories to be constructed and accepted in Hebei Province. Since its establishment, it has consistently focused on the development needs of the new environmental protection field in the coal and coke chemical industry, relying on the scale and technological advantages of Risun's industry to carry out forward-looking basic research and pre competitive common key technology research in areas such as "coal and coke chemical water conservation and sewage resource utilization" and "key technologies for comprehensive treatment of coal and coke chemical flue gas". This has effectively played a role in supporting regional technological innovation, enhancing local comprehensive scientific and technological innovation strength, and leading high-quality industrial development.

It has built a set of comprehensive utilization device with an annual output of 26,000 tons of sulfuric acid desulfurization waste liquid. It uses advanced technology to produce industrial sulfuric acid by recycling sulfur foam, desulfurization waste liquid and other production emissions, perfectly solving the problems of high odor in the production process, difficult sales and high costs of subsequent salt extraction products from desulfurization waste liquid, thus forming a circular economic chain with high environmental and economic value.

It constructs two sets of chemical tail gas RTO devices to improve the efficiency of VOCs treatment. This not only enhances the collection and treatment effect of tail gas, solves the problem of non methane total hydrocarbon emissions in chemical tail gas, but also fundamentally improves the safety and reliability of coke oven operation.

It realizes the recovery and utilization of high-temperature waste heat generated during the quenching process, generates 500 million kWh of electricity annually, saves 195,000 tons of standard coal annually, and reduces particulate matter emissions by 355 tons annually.

It achieves an annual reduction of 24.97 tons of non methane total hydrocarbons, 24.97 tons of phenols, 1.99 tons of benzene, 14.54 tons of ammonia, and 1.45 tons of hydrogen sulfide.

It achieves the standard of "The Reuse of Urban Recycling Water—Water Quality Standard for Industrial Uses" (GB/T 19923-2005) after treatment of process wastewater, with an annual recovery of 1.752 million tons and a reuse rate of over 80%.

It reduces the consumption of fresh water by more than 55 cubic meters/hour through the reuse of concentrated water from processes such as ammonia evaporation, biochemical treatment, softening and desilication, ultrafiltration, ion exchange, nanofiltration, COD separation, reverse osmosis, salt separation, evaporation and crystallization. The remaining concentrated water is evaporated and crystallized to produce industrial salt products, thereby achieving zero discharge of coking wastewater and comprehensive utilization of resources.

It recycles and processes the desulfurization waste liquid generated in the second, fourth, and fifth phases of the base's desulfurization process, using advanced technology to filter, separate, and purify high-purity liquid sulfur and high concentration secondary salts. Through incineration process, sulfur dioxide flue gas is obtained, and then through washing, purification, and conversion process, concentrated sulfuric acid is produced, achieving an annual output of 36,000 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid with a concentration of not less than 92.5%. The tail gas is discharged in compliance with the absorption treatment process. In this way, it effectively solves the problem of desulfurization waste liquid treatment and reduces external discharge, while forming products to achieve waste resource utilization.

It adopts Risun's original and globally leading non nitrification process route for green and environmentally friendly technology, breaking down foreign technological barriers and filling domestic production gaps. The products are in short supply and sell well both domestically and internationally. Amino alcohol (2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol) is a high-end environmentally friendly multifunctional chemical with high added value and wide applications. It can be used in high-end coatings, metal processing, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, daily chemical products, carbon dioxide absorption and other fields. Its production technology has always been monopolized by foreign countries. However, after years of dedicated research and overcoming numerous difficulties, the Risun R&D team has developed a complete process technology for the production of amino alcohols through independent research and development, including small-scale exploration, process design, and pilot scale-up. This is the world's first non-nitrification process route, which is green and environmentally friendly, with low production costs and excellent product quality. It has the advantages of stable reaction, high yield, and low impurities. Compared to traditional propane nitration processes, it has better safety, higher product selectivity, simpler separation process, easier product availability, significantly reduced material and energy consumption, and achieves the production of acetone oxime while significantly improving the selectivity of 2-nitropropane. Other indicators are also better than industry benchmark values. On October 9, 2023, the 5,000 tons/year amino alcohol project covering an area of 60 mu with a total investment of 380 million yuan officially started construction. It is expected to achieve an annual revenue of 350 million yuan and an annual profit and tax of 100 million yuan after production.

Its denitrification efficiency reaches 90%, and the concentration of nitrogen oxides in the flue gas of the heating furnace is less than 30 milligrams/cubic meter, achieving ultra-low emissions of nitrogen oxides.

It replaces the original methanol cracking hydrogen production unit with a PSA unit that uses the dehydrogenation tail gas of the existing styrene unit in the base as raw material, significantly saving resources such as methanol, natural gas, water, and electricity, achieving a reduction of 3,251 tons/year of carbon dioxide emissions, 1,530 tons/year of standard coal savings, and a reduction in unit product energy consumption of 0.106 kgce/Nm³ (i.e. 3.11 MJ/Nm³). It strengthens the efficient collaboration of the upstream and downstream industrial chains of the benzene hydrogenation unit and styrene unit in the base, thereby achieving high-value stepwise utilization of hydrogen extraction tail gas through recovery and combustion.

It adopts the processes of collection, condensation, recovery, deep freezing, adsorption, and incineration to deeply treat the VOCs waste gas involved in cyclohexanone, caprolactam and other devices, reducing VOCs emissions by about 179 tons annually and achieving near zero emissions.

It adopts a combination of adsorption and low-temperature distillation process, using the by-product carbon dioxide from the low-temperature methanol washing process of the 300,000 tons caprolactam hydrogen production unit in the second phase of the base as the raw material gas, to solve the problem of carbon dioxide industrial tail gas emissions. It turns waste into treasure through comprehensive utilization and has been approved as a pilot project for carbon dioxide capture, utilization, and storage in Hebei Province.

It adopts low nitrogen combustion+SNCR+SCR+bag dust removal+ammonia desulfurization+wet electrostatic precipitator process to achieve ultra-low emission standards, and installs internationally renowned online monitoring equipment to achieve real-time monitoring of flue gas pollutant concentration. At the same time, it controls daily flue gas emissions at an "ultra-ultra-low" level through a series of measures such as using low sulfur coal in production and operation, regularly maintaining and repairing environmental protection equipment, and strengthening employee operational skills.

It realizes the recovery and utilization of high-temperature waste heat generated during the quenching process, generating 144 million kWh of electricity annually, saving 39,000 tons of standard coal annually, and reducing 71 tons of particulate matter emissions annually.

It achieves comprehensive compliance with the Shandong Province Regional Comprehensive Emission Standards for Pollutants (DB37/2376-2019) for various flue gas emission data, and has no waste liquid, no odor, and solid waste that is easy to treat.

It reduces carbon monoxide emissions from 5,000-10,000 mg/m³ before the renovation to below 80 mg/m³after the renovation, with a reduction rate of over 98%; the nitrogen oxides decreased from 250 mg/m³ before the renovation to below 70 mg/m³ after the renovation, with a reduction rate of over 72%; the smoke and dust decreased from 30-50 mg/m³ before the renovation to below 8 mg/m³ after the renovation, with a reduction rate of over 73%. This project has also been promoted to the Yuncheng Base of Risun Group, achieving rapid and comprehensive compliance of alkali furnace flue gas after Risun acquired and settled in two bases, creating a successful case in China where all emission data of similar incinerators are below 80 mg/m³.

It achieved a reduction rate of over 99% from an average exhaust emission of 1,500 milligrams/cubic meter before the renovation to below 15 milligrams/cubic meter after the renovation. The average consumption of aromatic hydrocarbons has decreased from 3.92 kg/ton (27.5% hydrogen peroxide) in 2014-2019 to less than 1.5 kg/ton (27.5% hydrogen peroxide) after renovation, with an optimization rate of over 62%.

It achieves a particle emission concentration of less than 10 milligrams/cubic meter, a sulfur dioxide emission concentration of less than 10 milligrams/cubic meter, and a nitrogen oxide emission concentration of less than 90 milligrams/cubic meter, fully meeting and falling below the special emission limits for boiler air pollutants in GB13271-2014. At the same time, it significantly reduces the cost of lime desulfurizer and effectively solves the problem of steam leakage in the slurry pool during winter.

It effectively suppresses unorganized dust emissions from coal yards, achieving near zero coal dust emissions and meeting the requirements of green production in the base. At the same time, it reduces coal loss and increases efficiency. Taking the fully enclosed mechanized coal yard in Xingtai Base, the first closed coal yard of Risun Group, as an example, it started construction in October 2016 and was completed and put into operation in December 2017. The coal yard is 460 meters long, 208 meters wide, and 55 meters high, with a closed area of over 100,000 square meters. It is the largest mechanized closed coal yard with an independent spherical grid structure span in China and won the first batch of the 13th China Steel Structure "Gold Award" (2017-2018).
