Technological product innovation is an important component of the overall pattern of Risun's "three innovations" (business model innovation, institutional mechanism innovation, and technological product innovation), covering all aspects of Risun's research and development innovation.


Risun's R&D innovation adheres to the two goals of "serving profits and serving development". It has 20 first level research institutes, 17 national high-tech enterprises, more than 1,000 R&D engineers (including 100 doctors and 556 masters), a 20,000 square meter professional R&D laboratory, a 130,000 square meter pilot base, 5 provincial engineering technology research centers, 5 provincial technology innovation centers, 1 provincial key laboratory, 8 provincial enterprise technology centers, 7 provincial-level industrial enterprise R&D institutions (A-level), 6 national testing centers, as well as R&D innovation platforms such as academician and expert workstations, postdoctoral research workstations, and postdoctoral innovation practice bases.

Risun's research and development innovation adheres to the overall positioning of "upgrading and improving the quality and efficiency of the development industry chain, serving the existing industries of the group, and leading the development of new industries with research and development of new products, new processes, and new technologies". It focuses on “energy conservation and emission reduction in new energy industries such as hydrogen energy, SNG, wind energy, solar energy, biomass energy, and the development of green and low-carbon technologies; new materials — high-end carbon materials, positive electrode materials, negative electrode materials, high-performance fiber materials, silicon materials, chemical new material technology and market development; digital industry — industrial Internet platform, big data, artificial intelligence, digital twins, robot and other technology research and development, as well as smart factory, smart water hardware and software products and solutions; key directions in high-end chemical industry include the development of processes and equipment for styrene polyolefin, benzene cyclohexanone caprolactam nylon, hydrogen ammonia nitric acid adipic acid nylon 66, and high-end functional chemicals”. It has established a three-level R&D innovation system consisting of "Group Chief Engineer and Production Technology Department - Engineering Technology Research Centers/Technology Innovation Centers/Enterprise Technology Centers - Production Technology Departments of Various Production Companies" and "Beijing Risun Technology - Technology Engineering Companies - Technical Departments of Various Companies". It has built two types of R&D innovation systems: "from 0 to 1" (development of new products, new processes, and new technologies) and "technological transformation measures" (continuous optimization and upgrading of existing equipment), forming a full R&D industry chain of creativity, small-scale testing, pilot testing, industrialization, and engineering design. It has created a comprehensive three-dimensional innovation model and method of "full staff innovation, comprehensive innovation, system innovation, collaborative innovation" and "originality, uniqueness, competitiveness, and all-round system".


Risun's R&D innovation adheres to the dual approach of independent research and development, as well as the acquisition and introduction of technological achievements. Both self-developed and introduced technologies are market-oriented, demand oriented, and customer-centric, forming a profit loop. Risun has achieved 1,311 technological innovation achievements (592 patented technologies, 525 proprietary technologies, 194 software copyrights). With a series of breakthroughs in key technologies, it has embarked on a unique path of R&D innovation and development for Risun, laying a solid technical support for Risun's national layout and global expansion.
