(Hong Kong, 20 February 2024) - China Risun Group Limited (“China Risun” or the “Group”, stock Code: 1907), a leading global integrated coke, coking chemicals and refined chemicals producer and supplier and relevant operation and management services provider in China, is pleased to announce that Coke Oven No.4 of the 4.8-million-tonne coking chemical project (the “Project”) at the Sulawesi Production Base in Indonesia under Risun Wei Shan New Energy (Indonesia) Company Limited (“Risun Wei Shan”) started operation. It is the third coke oven starting operation subsequent to the first (Coke Oven No.3) on 19 July 2023 and the second (Coke Oven No.1) on 6 November 2023 which then moved into smooth production and meeting output and efficiency targets. With three coke ovens in operation, Risun Wei Shan has the capacity now to put out 2.4 million tonnes of coke a year.
Based on the construction plan and progress of the project, Coke Oven No.2 will be completed and start operation in April this year. By then, the output capacity of Risun Wei Shan will increase to 3.2 million tonnes of coke a year.
It is worth noting that Risun Wei Shan’s 2024 export quota application has been approved, which will give the Group strong support in providing quality products and services to customers worldwide on the foundation for international shipping and sales and efficient operation laid in 2023 for products of the project.
